How to Create a Web Page
Web pages are the building blocks of a web site. Building a website is a matter or creating and linking web pages. It isn't difficult to create a web page. If you are able to create a document using a word processor like word, then you are able to make a web page. Here we will look at making a basic web page using a web page editor. By using a web page editor you don't need to master HTML before you build your first page I have chosen to use the Trellian editor because it is very simple , uncluttered and yet powerful web page editor. Equally as important, there is a completely free version available for download on the Internet (link at bottom). We are going to be making a series of web pages to illustrate the various aspects of a web page like headings, tables, images etc. None of the examples will require a knowledge of HTML, and I would also recommend that you don't worry too much about HTML for the present. PreparationWe will not be concerned with web page layout and design, as that will be covered in other articles. For the exercises contained in these illustrations create and save all files in a directory (I use c:\webs\BYO in the examples).
